Duluth man injured while diving into mine pit identified

GILBERT, MN — Police have identified the Duluth man injured while diving into an Iron Range mine pit.

Police say Aaron Horn, 26, suffered severe injuries to both legs, and was taken from the area by an ATV rescue trailer, before being flown to a Duluth hospital.

Multiple Iron Range emergency agencies were called to the Genoa Mine Pit for the rescue.

Gilbert Police say they’re investigating the incident.
