Donors needed after Dorian causes blood shortage

DULUTH, MN — Memorial Blood Centers needs your help to restore their blood supply after Hurricane Dorian caused supplies to run low.

People along the storm’s path are missing their donation appointments, and mobile blood drives have been canceled.

Memorial Blood Centers says they’ve already sent blood supplies south to support relief efforts, however they need your help to boost supplies of both blood and platelets.

Donations take less than an hour, and can be scheduled by contacting Memorial Blood Centers by clicking here, or by calling 1-888-GIVE-BLD.
