Charges possible following Hibbing High School threat

HIBBING, MN — Police say a threat made on Thursday regarding placing bombs around the Hibbing High School are not considered a credible threat.

Police say the person responsible for the threat was not a student, and didn’t live in the immediate area.

Officials say the person who made the threat has been identified, and was found in Duluth.

Charges will be submitted to the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office, where they will be reviewed for a charging decision.

The case remains under investigation.

Police say there was never a credible threat to the students or staff at the school.
