From as early as he can remember, Reece has been telling stories.
While attending school at UMD, he came to the realization that journalism was the best way to do it.
Journalism combines all of the best aspects of storytelling: writing, visuals and a little bit of yourself. If these stories can help someone- change their lives for the better, well, that’s one reason why Reece is with KBJR today.
Reece is a Minnesota boy. He grew up in Loretto and attended Delano High School. From there, he attended University of Minnesota Duluth and graduated in the spring of 2016 with a major in writing studies and minors in psychology and film studies.
His career began at KBJR in February 2016 as a production assistant. From there, he worked as a morning editor/ photographer until April of 2018, when he became a reporter. He is now the producer for the KBJR 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts.
In his free time Reece enjoys exploring the outdoors, photography, watching films and reading a good mystery novel.
Fun fact about Reece: Until the age of ten he thought he was named after the candy. To his dismay, he was not, but the nickname stuck.
