Xcel Energy says power has been restored to nearly 2,000 customers in northern Wisconsin.

UPDATE: Power restored to nearly 2,000 Xcel Energy customers in Wisconsin

UPDATE 11:19 a.m. — Xcel Energy says power has been restored to nearly 2,000 customers in northern Wisconsin.

Power was restored around 10:30, after an hour-long outage.

The cause of the outage is still unknown at this time.

Xcel Energy reports nearly 2,000 customers are without power Friday morning.

The outages are along the Highway 63 area, stretching from Cable to just south of Ashland.

Xcel Energy says power was first reported out around 9:20 a.m.

Crews have been dispatched to the area, however officials say since the cause of the outage is unknown at this time, they don’t know when power will be fully restored.
