Search continues for man missing in Sawyer County

SAWYER COUNTY, WI– Authorities are still asking for the public’s help finding an elderly man missing from Sawyer County.

Sheriff’s officials say Norbert Anthony Dantzman, known as Tony, walked away from a motel in Winter, Wisconsin on August 30. 

The 89-year-old was in town from California for a family reunion, and was last seen walking on County Highyway W near Winter.

Authorities say Dantzman suffers from dementia and other cognitive issues.

Dantzman is 5’9″, 136 lbs., with brown eyes, gray hair and glasses.

He was last seen wearing a checkered shirt, black vest, black pants, and light colored cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office at 715-634-5213.
