My name is Theresa O’Halloran-Johnson, and I have lived in Duluth’s 3rd District since I moved here over 10 years ago.
I currently work with St Louis County as a social worker, supporting children with intellectual disabilities. I have three adult daughters, two of whom live and work in Duluth. My spouse is a retired high school teacher, and we are also landlords in the city. In addition, I’m a proud member of AFSCME.
I’m endorsed by the Duluth Central Labor Body, AFSCME Council 5, Firefighters’ Local 101, Northeast Area Labor Council, and Women Winning.
I have a long history of community involvement – I’ve volunteered with the Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial, Sacred Heart Music Resource Center and HillFest.
I am involved in our local political scene – many of you have seen me knock on your door advocating for candidates and issues that have meaningful and positive impact on our lives.
I was a member of the Earned Sick and Safe Time task force, and worked to get a full resolution passed. I worked on the streets initiative by Mayor Larson, and worked to pass the recent school levy.
My hobbies of Nordic skiing, hiking, camping, canoeing, reading, knitting, yoga, and cooking are
all at my fingertips here in the Hillside. They’re part and parcel of the vibrant fabric of our 3rd
