Governor Walz Orders Flags at Half-Staff for Tuesday

ST. PAUL, MN — Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has ordered that United States and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff Tuesday at all state and federal buildings in Minnesota.

The order is in honor of Timothy McDonald, who was the pilot of the helicopter that crashed at Brainerd Airport on June 28th.

McDonald worked as a pilot for North Memorial Health Air Care for the past four years, and also served in the United States Army as an aviation warrant officer.

The flags will be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sundown.

Flags were flown at half-staff for Debra Schott, who was also killed in the crash, last Wednesday.
