Enbridge and FDL Band team up on potential job opportunities

Fond du Lac tribal members hoping for a job on the Enbridge Line 3 Replacement Program project won’t want to miss out on an upcoming opportunity.

The Fond du Lac Reservation Business Committee has announced their first step of small business development training provided by the Band and Enbridge.

The Band is asking Enbridge to share information on potential economic opportunities for their tribal members in light of the proposal to replace the aging crude oil pipeline, according to the Band’s website.

Enbridge representatives are going to be at the Black Bear Casino on Monday, Jan. 28th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the Lake Hall Room, according to the Band’s website.

The Enbridge Line 3 Replacement Project is controversial on and off the reservation, and has been under fire by some tribal members.

This was posted to the Fond du Lac Band’s website on Jan. 15, 2019:

“NOTICE: The Fond du Lac RBC has asked Enbridge to share information on potential economic opportunities for FDL member businesses on the Line 3 Replacement Project. Representatives from Enbridge will be at the Black Bear Casino on Monday, January 28 from 10:00 am to 6:00pm in the Lake Hall Room. The session will include an informal presentation at the top of every hour followed by time to ask questions and talk one on one with Enbridge representatives. This is the first step of small business development training provided by FDL and Enbridge. Plans are underway to host small business development training in the first part of 2019.”
