Move over Jupiter, it’s time to let Saturn shine!
Earth will be right in between Saturn and the Sun, and Saturn will be at its closest point to Earth for the year.
In the planetary scale, close is still pretty far away, with Saturn being about 840 million miles away. This is a little over nine times the distance between the Earth and the Sun.
Observers will be able to see the planet with their naked eye, but will need a more powerful telescope to view the individual rings of Saturn.
