DULUTH, MN– A GoFundMe page has been created to help a 17-year-old girl from Georgia who hit a moose last weekend in northern Minnesota.

Amaya Nelson and Remington Dellinger were driving in Bassett Township the night of July 7th when they hit a moose. According to the GoFundMe Page, Nelson and Dellinger were rushed to a local hospital.

After assessing Nelson’s injuries, she was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth for intensive care. As of June 10th, she was in the Pediatric Intense Care Unit.

The page was created to help with the financial burden on Nelson’s close family members.
