Community members in Duluth walk for a cause

DULUTH,MN– Saturday morning’s rain didn’t stop community members from taking a walk for a good cause.

With umbrellas in hand, 105 people from all around the region participated at the 17th annual Walk for Thought event.

The fundraiser started at Lief Erickson park and from there, participants walked together about a mile down the Lakewalk to raise awareness and funding to help those who are affected by brain injury.

For those who are affected, the work provided through the event is very important.

“It’s just a near and dear to my heart foundation that I’ve had experience with,” Angie Olson, a participant in the walk, said.

Saturday’s event raised nearly $5,000.
