Duluth, Minn. — 75 UMD Bulldog hockey alumni were present… that includes the well-known… Hermantown native Neal Pionk, Minnesota Wild goalie Alex Stalock and Dallas Stars winger Riley Tufte…
They all stressed that this program is something special to be able to gather this many guys for a summer reunion.
“I was driving in today and I was like wow I can’t believe these three years flew by so quick. Kind of honestly brought some tears to my eyes driving in. I’ve had so many good times here and good memories and it’s good to be back,” Tufte said.
“I think it’s a great time of year, something to look forward to every summer,” Pionk said. I think the best part is sharing stories with your former teammates and even the older alumni, you can kind of relate and have a good time on the golf course.”
“I think the turnouts too make such a big difference with the year and the success they had,” Stalock said. It’s always fun to get five or six guys from your age group together and see a lot of the guys that were not only before you that kind of paved the way but after you but the ones that came after you that put the trophies in the cases.”
