SUPERIOR, WI – The Superior Spartans are coming off a 4-5 season, with only two wins in the Big Rivers Conference. They return a number of key starters on both side of the ball, including senior QB Jarrett Gronski.

Gronski is an NCAA division two recruit, hoping to lead the Spartans offense out from last year’s 7th place finish.

“We like where we’re at so far, the attitude, the effort, the hustle, team chemistry it’s there week one, it’s been very prevalent,” said head coach Bob DeMeyer.

“That’s got to continue and we’ve got to get better every day with those things. We’ve got a lot of good, quality players and we’ve got some question marks we’ve got to find out more about.”

Superior will open up their season on Friday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Somerset.
