The Duluth East boy’s hockey team returns home on Friday after spending the last 5 games on the road. But the upcoming games for the Greyhounds will be a major test.

Duluth East will square off with #13 Stillwater on Friday. Stillwater has a near identical record of 7-2 on the season.

Then on Saturday it’s a Class AA state championship rematch as Duluth East will host top ranked Minnetonka who sits at 12-0 on the season.

Head Coach Mike Randolph says he doesn’t want his team looking ahead to that game, but he says these two matchups will make his team better.

“As a coach you’re worried about them looking to that game. I’m sure they’ve circled that game. Obviously we have Stillwater first, we know they’re an excellent team we have to take care of them first. But, we’re looking forward to playing Minnetonka, they’re the best team in the state, undefeated and not many times you get to play them in your rink, so we’re looking forward to the challenge,” said Randolph.

You can catch Saturday’s game on MY9 at 3pm.
