Buffalo, NY- The Bulldogs took to the ice earlier today in Buffalo at KeyBank Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres.
And they were in good company, Wednesday’s practice was open to fans and there were plenty of bulldogs around, including kids watch their hockey heroes prepare for the biggest games of their collegiate careers.
What’s crazy to think is that every single one of those bulldogs was one of those kids at some point in their lives.
“It’s obviously something that you’ve always dreamed of. Every time I went to, even a high school practice when I was younger, the guys would always give me knucks. I have two older brothers, that meant the world to me seeing those older guys . It meant a lot to kids, it meant a lot to me when I was younger. That’s awesome to see the little kids come out and have a big smile on their faces,” said junior forward Riley Tufte.
I grew up in the Duluth area, I remember when I was a kid coming to watch the Bulldogs practice with my brothers and parents. Just to see those kids out there, it kind of makes you smile and look back to see how lucky you are.” added freshman forward Cole Koepke.
