DULUTH, MN- Before C.J. Ham gears up for his 4th NFL season, the Duluth native decided to give back to his community.
Ham hosted his 1st ever youth football camp at Lincoln Park Middle School on Saturday.
It was a sold-out camp as 275 athletes participated in various drills to improve their football skills.
Those who participated in the camp received a t-shirt and autograph from the Vikings Fullback.
This won’t be the last camp as Ham has plans to continue the camp in the future. He says it was important to start this tradition in his hometown.
“To be able to come back and share this moment with them is amazing. Me growing up, we didn’t have a lot of this stuff, coming back and holding camps. I see a lot of people doing it around the NFL and why not bring it back to a community that means so much to me? It makes me feel really good that this community does really support the cause. That’s it’s bigger than just themselves. It’s not just about football, it’s about giving back to the community. And this community is 100% all in with that,” said Ham.
Ham and the rest of the Vikings veterans report to training camp on July 25th.
