Northwoods League removes 5 wins from Huskies for roster violation

DULUTH, MN — The Northwoods League has removed five wins from the Duluth Huskies for violating a roster rule.

The Huskies were riding high in the second half of the season with a three-game lead in their division but were dealt the bad news Saturday.

The league has announced it will be removing the following games from Duluth’s second-half record:

July 28 vs Waterloo

July 29 vs Waterloo

July 29 vs Waterloo

August 1 vs Eau Claire

August 2 vs Eau Claire

The wins will not change to losses, but do drop the Huskies in the Great Plains East Division standings:

Eau Claire (15-11)

Duluth (13-10)

La Crosse (15-13)

Waterloo (11-14)

Thunder Bay (7-20)

The league says all other stats from those five games will remain intact except wins, loses and saves for the pitchers involved.
