UPDATE: New restaurant, bar under construction destroyed by fire

Update as of 11:44 a.m. —  A new restaurant and bar being built in Cable, Wisconsin was destroyed by fire Thursday night.

Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the former “Corner Bar” located on Highway 63 around 8 p.m. for smoke coming from the building.

Because the building was under construction, crews were kept out of the building, and took a defensive stance.

Firefighters finally put out the fire around midnight.

No word on what caused the fire.

5:00 a.m. — A building in Cable, Wisconsin is considered a total loss after an overnight fire destroyed it.

Crews responded to the fire around 8 p.m at the corner of Highway 63 and County Road M and worked through the night to contain the blaze.

It is unknown what caused the fire.

The building was under construction to be a new bar or restaurant.

According to the Cable Fire Chief, no one was in the building at the time of the fire and no one was injured in the incident.
