Minnesota winter puts a chill on robotics team build


DULUTH, MN– The recent cold snap has a local robotics team trying to catch up on building their bots.

After four critical build days were taken away due to school closings from cold and snow, officials said this year the Duluth East Daredevils robotics team will have to cancel their annual Open House that was scheduled for February 13th.
They said this is the first time in 10 years that the Daredevils have needed to cancel this event.
School closures didn’t allow the team enough time this year to complete their robot for public display.
The students and their mentors will continue to work nights and weekends to finish their robot before the “stop build” deadline on February 19th.
