Body found believed to be of missing vulnerable adult

CANOSIA TOWNSHIP, MN — Authorities say a body found Wednesday in Canosia Township is believed to be that of a man who went missing from an adult foster home in early May.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, a body was found about 30 yards off of Castle Road, which is about two miles west of the group home he went missing from.

Julian Decoux, 34, was last seen on May 5 in the area of Lavaque Road. He had been a resident at the home for several years.

Authorities say Decoux had left the home before.

At this time, the body still needs to be identified, but authorities believe the remains are likely of Decoux.

Foul play is not suspected at this time. The death is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Minnesota Health Department.
