DULUTH, MN – Electric scooters are hitting the streets in Duluth Friday evening.
The owners of Leaf, a business renting out rechargeable, electric scooters, say they put some of their scooter fleet out on the streets Friday.
They test drove them and plan to put the rest of the scooters out Saturday.
The scooters will be available to rent in different parts of the city.
Earlier this year, the Duluth City Council passed an ordinance that would require e-scooters to operate only where bicycles are allowed.
They would be banned from sidewalks in the city’s business districts.
You will also have to park the scooters out of the way of pedestrians.
