Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks in which  2,977 people lost their lives, and more than 6,000 people were injured.

A solemn day in American history, which is being commemorated nationwide with vigils honoring the victims and their families.

Here in Duluth, firefighters will honor their own, by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. The tribute is set to begin at 8:46 AM, the exact time flight 11 was flown into the first tower.

The tribute event will take place at the Duluth YMCA.
