Fall colors continue to change across Northland

DULUTH, MN– As we head into the last week to ten days of Summer, the trees are continuing to change color.

Last week, parts of the Keweenaw Peninsula as well Gogebic and Ontonagon counties were seeing around 5% to 10% color. Those areas are now seeing anywhere between 10% and 30%. Gogebic County was seeing between 15% and 30%.

Most areas in northern Minnesota are seeing between 10% and 25% color. Most of St. Louis County, as well as the western parts of Lake County are still seeing 0% to 10% color. Duluth is seeing anywhere between 10% and 25% color.

In Wisconsin, the Hayward area was at 20% color as of Wednesday. The rest of northern Wisconsin was seeing around 10% color.
