SHAKOPEE, MN– A popular seasonal attraction at Valleyfair is making its return with some new attractions.
‘ValleySCARE’ is slated to make its return Saturday, September 21, and will continue on select nights through October 27.
One new attraction is Blood on the Boundary Waters, which will allow guests to walk through six decaying cabins that each have a frightening host, and the scares are not limited to inside as the area will be filled with roaming animals that are scarier than the normal animals found across northern Minnesota.
“We are excited to bring a local twist to ValleySCARE this year,” said Valleyfair’s entertainment manager Justine Bergevin, also adding that “This new scare zone is unlike anything else we have done before.”
Another new attraction, called Hypnosis, will also be debuting this year. This attraction is a hypnosis show that guests will either be laughing or clucking like a chicken on stage, with the show being fun and fast-paced, with the goal in mind to generate audience participation.~~
Kids and families can join Snoopy and the Peanuts gang for some “not-so-scary” family fun at the Great Pumpkin Fest on Saturdays from September 21 through October 27. The festival will feature the following:
- Kid-friendly mazes
- Arts and crafts
- Peanuts Halloween shows
New attractions will also be added to this year’s lineup, where families can join vampires on a lights-on tour of one of the most popular haunted mazes. Kids will also have the chance to put on headphones and have tons of fun while being quiet at Franklin’s Headphone Hootenanny.
In addition, Surly Brewing will take control of the Chicken Shack location, renaming it as Surly Boowery, which will feature unique food and beverage options. Some of the menu options include:
- Infamous Surly Burger
- Chopped Brisket Sandwich
- Hog Frites
- Famous Craft Beers
