ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN — If you live in St. Louis County expect to see a small increase in your property taxes next year.

The county board approved the 2020 property tax levy Tuesday.

It’s set at $145 million, which is a 6.5 percent increase from 2019 but the impact on homeowners is expected to be less than three percent. Officials said that’s because the county’s tax base grew.

People who own a home valued at $200,000 will see an increase of about $3.50 per month.
