Family: Jayme Closs smiling, laughing with friends

Barron County (WQOW) – In an update posted to a fundraiser for Jayme Closs, family said she is smiling, and even laughing with a few of her close friends.

It was three weeks ago the 13-year-old escaped her parent’s killer after 88 days of being held hostage.

In a post on a Go Fund Me page for Jayme, Jennifer, her aunt, said it’s the best feeling ever to watch Jayme laugh. She said there is still a long road of healing and recovery and are taking small steps.

Jennifer goes on to thank those who’ve shared the fundraiser and everyone who has sent Jayme their well-wishes and support.

You can contribute to the fundraiser here.
