Preliminary hearing held for alleged kidnapper, murderer Jake Patterson


BARRON, WI — A Gordon, Wisconsin man accused of kidnapping a 13 year-old-girl and killing her parents will appear in Barron County Court Wednesday morning.

Jake Patterson, 21, appeared in front of a judge for his preliminary hearing at 11 a.m.

Patterson has been charged with two felony counts of first degree intentional homicide, one felony count of kidnapping, and one felony count of armed burglary.

In October 2018, Patterson allegedly killed 13-year-old Jayme Closs’ parents before kidnapping her.

Jayme was able to escape in January.
