Winter Storm Warning for South Shore, light snow for the rest of the region

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

A trough of low pressure to our north will bring a 40% chance for light snow to MN and a 70% chance for heavier snow to the Snow Belt of WI and MI.  Low temps will be 15-20.  The wind will be NW 5-10 mph.

The 40-70% chance for snow will linger and so will a Winter Storm Warning for the Snow Belt of WI and MI.  Snow totals will be a trace to two inches for most towns.  From the Bayfield Peninsula to Gogebic County, snow totals could go 4-8″ on Friday with another 4″ possible on Saturday.  High temps will hit 22-28.  The wind will be NW 10-20 mph.

High air pressure from Canada will replace the trough of low pressure for most towns so Saturday should be clear to partly cloudy for much of the region.  The Snow Belt will be the exception and as previously mentioned, another 4″ of snow could fall there.  Saturday’s low will be 9 with a high of 28.  Sunday gets a fresh 40% chance for light snow with low 19 and high 29.  Monday will be cool, cloudy but dry.
