Weekend to start with Winter Weather Advisory for North Shore

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

FRIDAY NIGHT & SATURDAY MORNING:

Our latest passing low won’t do too much snow-wise for most towns but a touch of lake enhancement will make snow totals heavier from Two Harbors to Grand Portage.  So, WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect issued by NWS Duluth for that zone until 10 AM Saturday morning.  Check below for a snow total map.  Low temps by Saturday morning should run 10-15 in MN and 15-20 in WI and MI.  The wind will be ENE 5-10 mph.

SATURDAY:

Light snow showers should affect the region through noon.  Again, near the North Shore of Lake Superior, snow could be heavier.  High temps Saturday afternoon should be between 24 and 29 region-wide.  The wind will be E 10-20 mph.

LAKE SNOW TOTALS:

SUNDAY:

A weak high high pressure center will try to clear us up Sunday but won’t be successful. So, the sky will be mostly cloudy but there should be no precip.  Low temp will be 17 with high 29.

NEXT WEEK:

Monday and Tuesday will be partly sunny with lows near 20 and highs near 30.  A cool snap hits from Wednesday to next Friday with lows near 5 and highs near 15.l
