Another round of warnings & advisories for more snow Tuesday

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

WEATHER ALERTS:  Winter Weather Advisory for lakeside counties of MN plus Douglas & Burnett Counties in WI on Tuesday.  The rest of NW WI and the U.P. faces a Winter Storm Warning.  3-6″ snow is likely in the advisory zone and 6-9″ could fall in the warning area.

MONDAY NIGHT:

A Colorado low is tracking towards our region and it’s backed up by a smaller clipper to the northwest.  So, our chance for more measurable snow is near 100%.  It could begin Monday night to the tune of an inch or two.  Overnight low temps will be 10-18 in MN and 14-18 in WI & MI.  The wind will be E 5-15.

TUESDAY:

Snow continues Tuesday as the lows continue to track and trek to the northeast. As mentioned above in the alerts paragraph, snow totals could go 3-6″ in MN and 6-9″ for WI & MI.  High temps will be 18-24 around the region.  The wind will be NNE 5-15 mph.

TUESDAY SNOW TOTAL ESTIMATE:

Heaviest totals over northern Wisconsin and the U.P.

WEDNESDAY:

The lows go and weak high pressure of the non-arctic variety comes to call.  So, the sky will be partly sunny and the temps will not be bitterly cold.  Wednesday’s low will be 10 with a high of 22.

THURSDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND:

Thursday gets a 30% chance for flurries with low 9 and high 18.  Friday is partly cloudy with low 0 and high 15.  Saturday is partly cloudy with low -2 and high 16.  Sunday will get a 30% flurry chance with low -1 and high 16.
